About the Agentic Product
Personalization with ai is an effective way to enable brands to create meaningful experiences for their users. Over the past year, our team has developed an ai-powered user experience designed to deliver bespoke experiences to each user based on a wide pool of content.
Users may arrive to the site from various ads within editorial articles, social media, and newsletters, and the agent uses that signaling to filter what appears for each user. After presenting a few pieces of content, the agent asks the user what they would like to continue exploring, and the experience continues.
There are 2 versions of this experience in production at People Inc. which have generated over $26 million in revenue: one lives on Parents.com, focused on positioning skincare & bath product solutions for new moms with postpartum concerns, and one lives on Health.com, dedicated to organizing and simplifying pharmaceutical information related to psoriatic arthritis. While the overall technology and user flow is the same in both experiences, each build was executed individually in order to focus on individual client demands and timelines.
Systems Thinking
By collecting performance data on the two builds and performing qualitative research studies, we have learned which components are most successful in reducing friction towards conversion, and driving positive user engagement. As such, these two MVP products inform the design of a repeatable framework for agentic content that we can produce at scale under one design system.
